Hot Story: California On Fire

Fires blaze on in California today. The fires stretch from the Mexican border northward to L.A. Many Mexican citizens are thankful, this week, for such protective fences that keep them out of the frightening flames. San Diego County has evacuated a half-million residents and already thousands of houses have burned to the ground.

This is the real thing, people.

This is California we’re talking about, the southern part. Jane Seymour’s Malibu house could be ashes soon!

Enough with those recreational blazes that the angry and forsaken girlfriend sets to the cheating boyfriend’s house. Who’s even going to remember the accidental fires that young Billy the pyromaniac down the street created? And Cigarettes? Please. This is California we’re talking about, the southern part. Jane Seymour’s Malibu house could be ashes soon!

The media’s going all out on this one. This story is a smash hit and the critics are going crazy.

How many times a week do news viewers wake up to a big house fire story? Twelve? You could yell and scream about how this is just another tale of the news crying wolf, but no. California is being eaten by wolves – I mean - California is on fire.

But what, you ask, is different about this particular fire? Well, it’s big. This is one major difference. Also, a lot of the victims of the fire are famous -- this is the biggest difference. For the news people this is like mixing business with pleasure, the business part being reporting about famous (B list) celebrities and the pleasure, of course being the fire.

Experts on forestry have stated that "It [the fire] will not end ... until it reaches the ocean or the winds turn around," If the fires don’t calm down they will burn all the way across America to the other ocean. Look out Mexico here we come.

The media has reported that not even celebrities are safe from these UNCONTROLLABLE flames. What?! So, does this mean celebrities aren’t invincible manifestations of God? Go on. It’s always been said that fire is the devil’s only friend. FOX and CNN exclaim burn on Malibu burn on.
